I use the windows AIK for this. For this system you’ll use MS imagex (I use gimagex to make it easier), windows PE, sysprep and windows deployment server. The deployment server is not absolutely necessary but can be users to automate the builds, and allow for a pxe boot server.
You can use this system for Windows XP, Vista and 7 clients as well as Windows Server 2003 and 2008.

Windows Home Server was released to manufacturing on 16 July 2007 and officially released on 7 November 2007. Power Pack 1 for Windows Home Server was released 20 July 2008[7], Power Pack 2 was released 24 March 2009, and Power Pack 3 was released 24 November 2009 [8]. The next version of Windows Home Server, Windows Home Server V2 is expected to be released sometime in 2010
